Every Savani Swiss diamond is natural, ethically sourced through Kimberley Process channels, and cut in our Geneva atelier under the supervision of master cutters with a minimum of twenty years' experience.

Beyond the four C's, we apply our own internal standard — what we call the fifth C: character. Each stone is studied for hours before its first cut is planned, ensuring the geometry it is given honours the geometry it was born with.

No. Savani Swiss deals exclusively in natural, mined diamonds. We do not handle lab-grown, treated, or synthetic stones — not because they lack merit, but because our craft is built around the specific properties of natural material.

Every invoice we issue carries an explicit declaration of natural origin.

Our continuous inventory spans the following ranges:

  • Solitaires (round brilliant): 0.30 — 5.00 ct · colours D-J · clarity IF-VS
  • Fancy shapes (emerald, asscher, princess): 0.50 — 8.00 ct · colours D-K · clarity VVS-SI
  • Pear & marquise: 0.50 — 6.00 ct · colours D-J · clarity VVS-SI
  • Special stones: 10 ct+ and fancy coloured diamonds available on request

The four C's are the universal grading standard established by GIA:

  • Carat — weight (1 ct = 200 mg)
  • Colour — graded D (colourless) to Z (light yellow)
  • Clarity — graded FL (flawless) through I (included)
  • Cut — the only man-made C; graded Excellent through Poor

For a complete primer, see our Education page.

Our roughs come from five accredited mining regions: Botswana (Jwaneng and Orapa via Debswana), Russia (Yakutia / Sakha Republic), Canada (Diavik and Ekati), India (curated polishers), and Australia.

Every parcel passes Kimberley Process certification and our own four-gate verification before entering our books. Full provenance documentation is available on request to verified trade partners.

Yes — though our fancy colour inventory is curated rather than continuous. We carry yellow, pink, blue, and champagne diamonds in select carat ranges, all naturally coloured and laboratory-verified.

For specific fancy colour briefs, we recommend a private consultation. Our sourcing team will work with you to locate stones matching exact hue, depth, and purity preferences.

Brilliant cuts (round, oval, pear, marquise, heart, princess, radiant) feature facets that radiate outward from the centre, maximising fire and scintillation. The standard round brilliant has 57 facets (58 with culet).

Step cuts (emerald, asscher) feature broad, parallel facets resembling stair steps, prized for their stately depth, clarity, and the architectural quality of their light return.

Trade access is granted upon successful completion of our KYC and AML review. The process typically takes 3–5 business days and requires:

  • Corporate registration documents
  • Beneficial ownership disclosure (UBO)
  • Trade licence and tax identification
  • Signed declaration of source of funds

Verified partners receive a unique trade code, valid for two years and renewable upon re-verification.

A memo is a temporary consignment of diamonds extended to a verified trade partner for the purpose of showing the stones to their own clients or evaluating them for purchase.

The diamonds remain the property of Savani Swiss until full payment is received. Standard memo periods are 14 days from delivery; extensions require written approval. Loss, damage, or unauthorised modification triggers full invoice liability.

Yes. Verified partners may purchase outright on standard net 30 day terms, or arrange memo terms as described above. We also handle special order sourcing for stones not in immediate inventory — typically delivered within 14–21 days of the brief being accepted.

Quality disputes must be raised in writing within 7 calendar days of delivery, accompanied by independent lab review from GIA, IGI, or HRD. Verified disputes are resolved promptly — typically by replacement or full refund.

Returns of unmodified, fully-papered stones are accepted within 30 days for outright sales, subject to a 5% restocking fee.

For first-time partners, the minimum opening order is CHF 5,000. Established partners have no minimum. We are equally comfortable handling single-stone memos and multi-million CHF parcels — the relationship matters more than the order size.

We work with the three most rigorous gemmological laboratories in the world:

  • GIA — Gemological Institute of America (default for most stones above 0.50 ct)
  • IGI — International Gemmological Institute
  • HRD — Hoge Raad voor Diamant (Antwerp)

Specific lab preference can be requested at the time of order, subject to a small additional fee for non-default labs.

Always, for all stones 0.30 ct and above. The unique certificate number is laser-inscribed on the girdle of the diamond — microscopic, invisible to the naked eye, but permanently linking the stone to its certificate forever.

For smaller stones, a sealed paper certificate accompanies the parcel.

Every GIA, IGI, and HRD certificate can be independently verified online via the issuing lab's public report verification system using the certificate number. We strongly encourage all buyers to perform this verification — it takes thirty seconds and confirms authenticity directly with the lab.

Yes — though we typically only recommend this for stones over 1.00 ct where small grading differences materially affect value. Re-grading takes 4–6 weeks and incurs the new lab's fees plus our handling cost. We are happy to coordinate this on your behalf.

All shipments use specialised diamond couriers (Brinks, Malca-Amit, or Ferrari Logistics) under Lloyd's of London open marine cargo policy. Each consignment is sealed, insured to invoice value, and tracked door-to-door.

Typical delivery times from Geneva:

  • Europe: 24–48 hours
  • USA · Canada: 48–72 hours
  • Asia · Middle East: 72 hours
  • India: 48 hours via Mumbai office

Yes — fully, to 100% of invoice value, under our open marine cargo policy with Lloyd's of London. Insurance includes loss, theft, and damage during transit. Risk transfers to the buyer upon signed receipt at the agreed delivery point.

For consignments above CHF 1M, enhanced security protocols apply — including armoured escort, dual-courier, and pre-cleared customs documentation.

We ship to all jurisdictions that comply with Kimberley Process requirements and are not under active international sanctions. Some destinations may require additional import documentation that we will coordinate on your behalf.

Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in the invoice.

For trade transactions, we accept:

  • SWIFT bank transfer in CHF, EUR, or USD (preferred)
  • Letters of credit for transactions above CHF 500,000
  • Escrow arrangements via approved Swiss banking partners

We do not accept cash, cryptocurrency, or third-party payment processors. All payments are verified against our FINMA-supervised AML protocols.

Standard terms are net 30 days from invoice date for verified partners. Established long-term partners may qualify for net 60 day terms upon credit review.

Late payments incur interest at 5% per annum compounded monthly, in accordance with Swiss commercial practice. We are flexible, however — early communication about payment timing is always welcome and often resolves the matter without formality.

Invoices are issued in CHF (Swiss Francs) by default, with optional billing in EUR or USD upon request. Exchange rates are fixed at the time of quotation and held for 14 days.
